Rico Nasty “Nightmare Vacation” album has now finally dropped

The debut studio album “Nightmare Vacation” of the Puerto Rican rapper and singer Rico Nasty is now finally out. Its combination of ferocious, fun, and raw music made the album a successful one. Critical acclaims and praises were given and it topped Spotify’s Heatseekers Albums chart days after its release last December 4, 2020.

Composing and recording the album in the midst of a pandemic is a tough one. But Rico Nasty finished it successfully during her stay with her family in Maryland. The singer has always been known for her rare style of music. Performing hip hop and trap music, with elements of punk rap, pop-track, and rock metal. She even went with the label “sugar trap” as an official trademark for her music.

After making various mixtapes, Nightmare Vacation is a big one for Rico Nasty. It is with her collaboration with some of the producers namely Kenny Beats, 100 gecs‘ Dylan Brady, Take a Daytrip, and Avedon. The lead single of the album is her song “iPhone” released initially with its music video last August 13. 

Rico Nasty explained Nightmare Vacation is about wanting things that in fact, aren’t what you really need. The album reflects what personality the American singer has, fun, ferocios and constantly exploring and playing with her craft and making her own style. Working at home during the pandemic and not being able to go wherever she wants, Rico Nasty stated “It sounds natural. It’s really fire. I’m happy that I locked myself in the studio and didn’t give up on life.”

 The album consists of sixteen songs “Candy”, “Don’t Like Me” feat. Gucci Mane & Don Toliver, “Check Me Out”, “iPhone”, “STFU”, “Back and Forth” feat. Aminé, “Girl Scouts”, “Let It Out”, “Losers” feat. Trippie Redd, “No Debate”, “Pussy Poppin”, “OHFR?”, “10Fo”, “Own It” and “Smack a Bitch”. The album includes her 2018 breakout single, “Smack a Bitch” as a bonus track. This features Rubi Rose, Sukihana, ​& ppcocaine. The album was released through Atlantic Records and her own Sugar Trap label.
