I have always been very proud of being a NUYORICAN (E.BRONX) I was born in METROPOLITAN HOSPITAL on WELFARE ISLAND (Now ROOSEVELT ISLAND) in 1933 and was raised in the East Bronx. In 1951 my parents bought a family home in MASSAPEQUA Long Island. N.Y  and  we  all moved there. In 1962 I spent my two week honeymoon at THE CARIBE HILTON HOTEL, San Juan P.R. My wife and I  had a happy and emotional visit to all of my of close relatives in Caguas,  Bayamon, Rio Piedras, San Juan and elsewhere .  I now live in ENCINO, CA. & will attend the festival in San Diego 8-7-11.

Wondering why the Puerto Rican Festival has been cancelled for the last two Sundays and possibly when it may be rescheduled for? Really wanted to take my daughters this year and some of their friends, but I keep having to tell them its cancelled. Thank goodness I called Senor Big Ed’s to buy tickets only to be told its cancelled. Would appreciate a reply. Thanks
