Daddy Yankee is giving all the fans a great show with DY2K20
“I wanted to give a Christmas present to all my fans during the pandemic, bring the party to their homes free of charge, bring them joy in such difficult times,” the Puerto Rican star said in an interview.
Even the singer has taken a break from the limelight this year due to the pandemic and was able to focus more on his health, something he wasn’t able to do for three decades.
“I devoted myself to my health and to something that was unknown to me, which was rest,” he said. “I started to learn how to live with calmness and to appreciate it… And I feel different, I feel in a new phase completely.”
He is now more ready to return with a bang and the DY2K20 is just the start. In DY2K20, he showcases the 2019 concerts in Puerto Rico which is a huge success with 12 sold-out shows, a record-breaking event on the island.
What makes it more spectacular is the use of holograms to represent the special guests of the show who weren’t there to perform live. Some of them were Ozuna, Wisin & Yandel, and Nicky Jam. He wanted the audience to feel that they were in front of them and that’s what they achieved.
The Reggaeton artist wants everyone to enjoy from DY2K20 show, but he also aims to bring support for the largest national organization that fights hunger through YouTube, Feeding America.
The show started last Dec. 4 on Daddy Yankee’s YouTube Channel with the second part streaming on Dec. 14 and the final part can be watched on the 21st of December.
